Vila Zara, Medulin

Myself, my family and my sister's family of 12 adults and 6 children booked the villa to celebrate my 70th birthday together for a week. I absolutely cannot in good conscience recommend Villa Zara in Medulin. It belongs to a host who absolutely does not care about his customers and charges well for the rent. When we ar...rived at the villa at the appointed time, there was no one there to receive us. At first we didn't dare to check if the doors were open, thinking we had been tricked into an accommodation. I called the owner several times but he did not answer the phone. Finally we felt the kitchen door and it was unlocked so we went in. Nowhere in the house was there any information about what was going on. The bin outside the house was overflowing with rubbish from previous tenants. The outdoor furniture was very dirty. We had been promised 2 children's chairs, there was 1 chair outside that was broken and dirty. In the kitchen, sets of glasses were missing (there were 2 champagne glasses, 2 wine glasses and a number of drinking glasses). The external stairs to the bedrooms were not childproof (parts of protective glass were missing). One of the bedroom doors wouldn't close, a closet door was hanging loose, bathroom cabinets with broken drawers. After a few hours, two women appeared to check on the situation. At that point I was quite upset when I spoke to them. They said they would talk to the owner and he would get back to me. He did so later in the afternoon, when he appeared at the villa. The reception he then gave us was below all criticism. He was very angry that we were not completely satisfied, he did not want to listen to our views but said "that no one ever complained about his villa that we had 1.5 hours to leave his house"!!!! I tried to tell him that I had tried calling and even emailed him several days before we arrived so he would have my cell number if he needed to reach me. He claimed that I neither called nor emailed him. I showed him my Mail and the log of all my phone calls. I called on my cell phone the same number I had, while he was talking to me and YES very well his phone rang. Then he didn't know what to say, I had proof. Finally he calmed down and promised to arrange more glasses and 2 highchairs (the glasses came later that day and the highchairs the day after) The rubbish would be picked up the next day he promised but we didn't get any information about how it would happen so they were left + the rubbish after us when we left the house after a week. After the first day, we didn't see anything more from the owner, so everything else we had to live with. In the middle of our week, a storm came with a lot of rain. It rained through the skylights on the upper floor and the top terrace became half full of water which then did not disappear (there was no hole where the water could drain away), 2 of the sun beds were blown to pieces. We notified the owner but we received no response. Calling this villa "A luxury villa" and charging for it is a shame. Of course it looks nice from the outside and it has 2 lovely pools but inside it is not luxury and the outside needs a refresh of broken and worn furniture.Pročitaj više

Das war eine ausgezeichnete Woche! Ein tolles Haus! Wir freuen uns, zurückgekehrt zu sein!

Die Unterkunft war für unsere Gruppe mit 16 Personen (6 Päärchen und 4 Singles) optimal ausgestattet. Jedes Päärchen oder Einzelperson hatte ein eigenes Zimmer. Die beiden Pools wurden ausgiebig genutzt und luden zur Entspannung und Erfrischung ein. Der extra Getränkekühlschrank war optimal zur stetigen Versorgung mit ...kühlen Getränken aller Art. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub in der Unterkunft.Pročitaj više
