Croatia offers countless opportunities for bathers on various beaches and bays. Rocky coves, pebble beaches and sandy beaches stretch along the Croatian coast. Most beaches are regularly awarded the International Prize for Very Good Beaches, the Blue Flag. Croatian beaches on the Adriatic are considered the cleanest sea in Europe. During the summer months of July and August, the most popular beaches are mostly well visited, but Croatia has a very long coast with many different beaches and coves where you can sunbathe and swim in crystal clear water.
